Tyscot Records affiliated acts shined brilliantly at the 39th annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada. The dynamic gospel ensemble, Anthony Brown & group therAPy, opened the show with an electrifying medley of their recent Billboard No. 1 hit, “Speak You Name,” and “God’s Got Me,” a pulsating proclamation of the Almighty’s favor on their best-selling album, Affirmation (Key of A / Tyscot / Fair Trade Services).
Anthony Brown & group therAPy also took home a Stellar Award in the category of Contemporary Duo/Chorus Group of the Year for the Affirmations album. The group is currently celebrating the success of the project’s current radio single “Up Up Up” which is parked at No. 5 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart and No. 6 on Mediabase’s Gospel Airplay chart this week.
Other Tyscot affiliated artists participated in the lavish production as well. Jason Nelson, currently rising on the charts with the Top 20 hit “Yahweh” (Jaelyn Song / Tyscot / Fair Trade Services), presented an award with singer, Angel, formerly of Trin-i-tee 5:7, for Best Praise and Worship Album of the Year.
Bri Babineaux, who is prepping for the autumn release of her new single “Confident,” was also on hand to present an award.
VaShawn Mitchell, who had multiple Stellar nominations, joined with powerhouse singer Lena Byrd Miles, to present an award as well.
Finally, gospel legend Deitrick Haddon and his troupe performed a rousing medley of his classic songs such as “Watch Me Praise Him.”
