Rising gospel talent Semaje packed the main room at the Motor City’s Cadieux Stage the evening before the official release of his highly anticipated new album, ‘92 The Live Album [Deluxe Edition] (Maje Entertainment / Tyscot Records), with more than 300 enthusiastic fans filling the venue to capacity.
The special pre-release event featured an intimate conversation hosted by award-winning radio executive and personality Neiko Flowers, who sat down with Semaje to discuss his journey, his artistry, and the making of the new project. Joining the discussion were key collaborators behind the project, including acclaimed songwriter and vocalist Anesha Birchett and producer Shajuan “BBEARDED” Andrews.
The album features live versions of six songs from Semaje’s `92 studio album that released last summer and a new live rendition of Vickie Winans 1999 church classic, “The Music in the Air.” The set also includes videos of five of the live performances
Tyscot Records President Bryant Scott attended the event alongside a host of music industry professionals, underscoring the industry-wide excitement surrounding Semaje’s continued ascent. Semaje first captured widespread attention with his 2022 breakthrough single “I Rely,” which has now surpassed 20 million digital streams.
“Every song you heard tonight came from a very real place in my heart, and my hope is that this music becomes more than just a sound you heard during tonight’s event,” said Semaje.
Semaje closed the evening with a show-stopping performance of “The Music in the Air” which also serves as his new gospel radio single. It brought the crowd to its feet in a powerful, electrifying finale.
