The Hymns With Phillip Carter Conference is set for March 20-23 and will be a three-day event dedicated to advancing sacred music through the enduring power of hymns and worship songs. Rooted in the African American tradition, this gathering celebrates the rich musical heritage of the past while embracing the evolving sounds that shape worship today and in the future. The conference takes place at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 4444 Branch Ave, Temple Hills, Maryland.
Through dynamic workshops, immersive worship sessions, and engaging discussions, attendees will explore hymns’ historical significance and contemporary application. The conference offers learning opportunities from accomplished musicians, theologians, and worship leaders who bring deep knowledge and passion for sacred music. Each session will equip participants with practical tools and fresh perspectives on integrating hymns into diverse worship settings.
