DMV Musician and Singers Fellowship Rolls Out 2024 Honorees

Phillip Carter will present the 9th DMV Musicians and Singers Fellowship Banquet on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Kettering Baptist Church, Upper Marlboro, MD. The event is an opportunity to shine the spotlight on those in the DMV.

Honorees include Reginald Anderson, Ronnie “Chuck” Carthan, Tonaee Burgess, Michael White, Susan Edwards, Minister Reginald Anderson, Dr. Warren Hood II, Skip Pruitt, Rev. Dr. DeCarlo Coley, and Robin “Sugar” Williams Mack. Bonita V. White will receive the Distinguished Service Award.

Here is a brief look at some of this year’s nominees:

Michael White is as a passionate singer, prolific songwriter, gifted musician, and anointed Minister of Music. His songwriting prowess has yielded hits recorded by him and Gospel music’s most notable.

Michael White is one of the most well-known, well-respected worship leaders in the DMV and across America

Susan Edwards is a long-standing musician and choral director in the DMV. She serves as the organist at Metropolitan A.M.E. Church in Washington DC and The 2nd Episcopal Diocese of the AME Church musically.

Minister Reginald Anderson is a disciplined musician who serves ministries large and small, often supplying the instruments and the sound just to help those in need.

Dr. Warren Hood II is one of the living legends in the DMV and in the Baltimore area. He serves as a master musician, choir director, community leader, mentor, and organ technician.

Skip Pruitt has dazzled audiences in the DMV and around the world with his phenomenal music ministry on the saxophone. He remains a servant and serves in his local church.

Robin “Sugar” Williams Mack‘s singing career spans more than 40 years. She continues to inspire others through her music ministry, her community service, and her work as an educator.
