PROVIDENT ENTERTAINMENT SIGNS BREAKOUT CHRISTIAN HIP-HOP ARTIST SKEMA BOY

Provident Entertainment has signed breakout Christian hip-hop artist Skema Boy to its growing roster of artists. In celebration of the signing, Skema Boy has released his debut single with the label, “Worthy,” available now on all digital streaming platforms.

“Signing with Provident is a blessing I don’t take lightly,” shares Skema Boy. “This is the next level for everything God is doing through this music, and I’m more locked in than ever. We’re going to push Jesus harder than ever before, and we’re just getting started.”

Blending Christian hip-hop with bold, anthemic energy, Skema Boy explores themes of freedom, redemption and grace. With hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners and tens of millions of streams, he’s built a growing fan base with releases including “God’s Army,” “Wristwatch,” and “Blimp.”

“We knew we wanted to be part of the way Skema Boy uniquely connects with his audience,” says Holly Zabka President of Provident Entertainment. “His personal story is really impactful, and he has a next-level way of bringing lyrics about Jesus to life through hip-hop and rap. We’re proud to welcome him to the Provident Entertainment family and can’t wait to see the continued impact and growth that his music will have.”

“Worthy” marks a new chapter for the artist. Written by Skema Boy, Wes Writer and Quinten Coblentz, the track incorporates a sample of “Agnus Dei,” written by Michael W. Smith. The song was produced by WEARETHEGOOD, Wes Writer and Quinten Coblentz.
Born Nathanael Volf, Skema Boy hails from Guilford, Connecticut, and currently resides in Maui, HI. Adopted at birth, he spent years searching for identity and worth while navigating mental health challenges. Music became a lifeline, and he spent years creating secular music while working full-time, pouring everything into a vision he believed was his own. That changed in 2021 when, during a quiet moment in his bedroom, he experienced a profound encounter with the Holy Spirit and felt called to surrender his musical gifts to Jesus. From that moment forward, his music took on a new purpose: serving the Kingdom.

In October 2025, Skema Boy felt called to pursue music full time. In obedience to that calling, he stepped away from his job and trusted God to open the next door. Just days later, Brandon Lake messaged him and invited him to collaborate. Their resulting single, “No Idols,” led to Skema Boy joining Lake’s King of Hearts fall tour, an experience that affirmed his faith in God’s timing and direction.

Early in 2026, Skema Boy signed with Rixon Entertainment Group for artist management, a partnership that helped pave the way to his new home at Provident Entertainment. “From the first conversation, it was clear God was doing something special through Nate’s music,” says Marcus Rixon, founder of Rixon Entertainment Group.

Today, Skema Boy creates music with one mission: to lift high the name of Jesus and ignite revival through hip-hop.
