Rev Dr. Albert ABK Appiah, who writes the Weekly Inspiration column on PositivelyGospel. com recently returmed from Ghana where his Renewal Christian Center (RCC) provided a new well for Countryside Orphanage, Bawjiase, Central Region. This labor of love by Dr. Appiah and his congregation will help cut down the cost of water bills. RCC also provided a booster pump to the orphanage that will provide water to the ladies’ bathrooms.
A native of Ghana, Dr. Appiah, and RCC, located in Upper Marlboro, MD have a longstanding relationship with the church supporting the many orphans who have passed through its doors over the years. RCC set up an SHS Educational Fund on 6 July 2005 to support children at the orphanage. The full scholarship took care of admission and tuition fees; provisions, pocket money, house dues, registration fees, and other expenses.
Many of the children have graduated over the years. One student earned first-class honors in Business Administration and went on to obtain a Master’s degree at the University of Ghana, Legon, in 2019.
