Rising Gospel artist Brianna Collins showcases vocal prowess with ‘Honor and Praise’

Gospel recording artist Brianna Collins lives to worship God. The Kingdom Image Award nominee, blessed with a captivating voice and a heart filled with praise, has been singing since her parents caught her humming at the dinner table as a kid. Since that time, she’s ministered in song for Gospel legend Dorinda Clark-Cole – once at her Singers and Musicians’ Conference and then at the Singers and Musicians’ Thanksgiving Rally in Toledo, OH. Now, the University of Akron student, working towards her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music, is releasing a brand new single entitled, “Honor and Praise”, and it’s just the jam to get your feet moving and your arms waving. The song will release on Friday, September 25, 2020, but pre-orders are available starting Tuesday, September 15, 2020. The single will be available on all music digital platforms including Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon and Spotify on the day of release.

The catchy and up-tempo track is a musical reminder of the reasons why the Lord is worthy of honor and praise. Flaunting an impressive range and the vocal mastery of a true songstress, Brianna delivers a breathtaking performance, set over a bed of keyboards and synthesizers, all accented by lush, harmonized background vocals. A contemporary worship tune highlighted by traditional lyrics, “Honor and Praise”, was produced by Drew Baxter and penned by the artist herself.

“One of the reasons I wrote ‘Honor and Praise’ is because I believe it’s important that we give honor where honor is due,” says Brianna. “I don’t think we thank God enough. Through this song, believers have an opportunity to give Him gratitude.” Brianna is able to reverence God for who He is through the lyrics of the song. “It’s worship that’s kept me sane,” she shares. “It’s worship that has helped me to hold on even in the darkest of times. Worship has helped me to keep going no matter how hard life gets. I will never stop worshipping the Lord.”

Popular Gospel Artist and Producer of “Honor and Praise”, Drew Baxter, is excited about Brianna’s new release. “Brianna Collins’ new single ‘Honor and Praise’ is a must have,” says Baxter. “It’s uplifting and inspiring Brianna Collins releases singleto honor God in the midst of anything. It’s high energy and will have you rocking from side to side! Brianna, I believe, is one of the greatest voices for the next generation; she is an amazing singer and psalmist! Everyone should add her new single to their collection. She is a powerhouse vocalist and a humble spirit!” Big Tee da Radical Praisa of Power 89.1FM WNZN is impressed as well. He says, “I have watched this woman of God grow into an amazing fireball for God. This music that God has birthed in her to give to the masses is nothing short of amazing. Put on y’all seatbelts on Sept. 25 for the incredible new single of ‘Honor and Praise’”.

“Honor and Praise” is the worship leader’s second release. She dropped her debut single entitled, “Thank You”, in May 2019. Another song of gratitude, “Thank You” was produced by Bishop Robbie Baxter and was the perfect introduction to this psalmist’s recording career. “Honor and “Praise” and “Thank You”, which will both be included on Brianna’s upcoming EP in 2021, are dreams fulfilled for this 24-year old artist. Since her performance of Israel Houghton’s “It’s Raining” at the age of eight as a member of the Youth Choir at Agape Love Ministries in Sandusky, OH, she knew she had been called to sing. Now, a Worship Leader, Mass Choir Director and Young Adult Praise Team Leader at her church, Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Akron, OH, she is determined to stay as connected to God as possible. “I want people to know that I really love God,” she says. “I hope people see it in my worship leading and in my life. I want to keep growing higher and higher in God.”
