Gospel music industry insider, recording artist and minister Rev. Dr. Jerome Allen Bell was named an Ambassador for National Women’s Health Week. Ambassadors are celebrities, athletes, and entrepreneurs who are champions for women’s health issues. They voluntarily help the Office on Women’s Health promote National Women’s Health Week to a wide range of women, including the ambassadors’ fans and communities.
National Women’s Health Week (NWHW) is a weeklong health observance led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health (OWH). The week May 9-15, 2021 serves as a reminder for women and girls, especially during the outbreak of COVID-19, to make their health a priority and take care of themselves. It is extremely important for all women and girls, especially those with underlying health conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular and respiratory conditions, and women 65 years and older, to take care of your health now.
About his role as ambassador, Bell says, “National Women’s Health Week is a reminder to me and other men to think and reflect about how we can better support the women in our lives. Women are an intricate part of every aspect of our lives and its so important that we do what we can to encourage them to see their health care providers and take time out for themselves. My message to women: Make time to take care of you. The world just doesn’t work without you!”
Jerome A. Bell ‘s first CD, “Energy Trax!” – a spoken word collection of topics to energize and encourage you along the way with music by notable musicians was released in 2013 and also continues to receive great reception worldwide.
