The release is in IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PHARRELL WILLIAMS’ i am OTHER

Today, RCA Inspiration, one of the premiere labels in Gospel and inspirational music, and Pharrell Williams’ company, i am OTHER, released “Hit The Refresh,” the debut single from Voices of Fire. Written and produced by Pharrell, the powerful track is available now on all major digital music platforms.

Formed by Bishop Ezekiel Williams, Voices of Fire is a multicultural choir whose journey was chronicled on the recent Netflix docuseries of the same name. The series was executive produced by Pharrell, who is Bishop Williams’ nephew. On the show, which just received an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Reality Program, Reality Competition or Game Show (Series), we see Pharrell, Bishop Williams and their team (Larry George, Peggy Britt, and Patrick Riddick) handpick a diverse group of talented singers from the Hampton Roads, VA area to bring the world Voices of Fire.

“Hit The Refresh” features lead vocals by female tenor Brittnee Randolph, alto Melvette Armond, and tenor Alrenzo Albritton, with the rest of the choir’s rich voices filling out the vibrant song. The track boasts additional vocals by T-Pain. George and Bishop Williams served as musical directors on the song and Riddick directed the choir.

Additionally, Voices of Fire will perform “Hit The Refresh” for the first time on television on ABC’s GMA 3 on Friday, February 5th at 1 PM ET/12CT and follow that up with a performance on the 22nd Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration, which airs on BET on Saturday, February 6th at 8 PM ET/7CT.
