This week’s new releases include a former American Idol finalist, a gospel legend and a praise and worship specialist. Here’s what’s new:
Overcomer–Mandisa. The long-awaited fourth studio album continues to showcase the former American Idol finalist’s powerful vocals on the 11 tracks. The title track has spent considerable time at #1 on iTunes. Many songs were co-written by many of her friends including Chris August (“Praying For You”), Israel Houghton (“At All Times”), Tiffany Lee, aka Plumb (“Dear John”), Britt Nicole and Cindy Morgan (“Where You Begin”) and Matthew West (“The Distance”)
Live and Unplugged–Twinkie Clark. The new album from the gospel legend includes appearances by the Clark Sisters and Karen Clark Sheard.
Inland-Jars of Clay. The album marks Jars of Clay’s first independent release and 11th studio album. The album’s first single, “After The Fight,” features the atmospheric guitar textures of Adrian Belew.
Free Worshipper–Vicki Yohe. The album delivers an especially strong set of all-new songs hand-picked by Vicki from the work of several songwriters, including Clint Brown. The lead single, “I Know A Name” is doing well on the charts.
Stop the Traffic-King Kulture.The compilation features several Grammy, Dove and Stellar Award nominated artists and producers such as Flame, Sho Baraka, Wit, Canton Jones, and Propaganda.The first song released from the project, “First World Problems” is by KIDD, the 16 year old Las Vegas rapper
