McDonald’s flips its Golden Arches in solidarity for International Women’s Day

McDonald’s pays tribute to women in their own unique way!

Today is International Women’s Day.  In celebration of women everywhere, McDonald’s flipped its Golden  arches in solidarity. Customers can see this at the sign in front of African-American owner-operator Patricia Williams’ restaurant in Lynwood, CA, and today on McDonald’s digital channels.

Additionally, in 100 restaurants across the U.S., guests will see packaging, crew shirts, hats and bag stuffers all celebrating International Women’s Day. We’re celebrating our female employees, franchisees, suppliers, community partners and customers for all that they do today, and every day.

Patricia Williams began her business more than 30 years ago and brought her two daughters alongside her. Together, the trio owns 18 McDonald’s restaurants in the Los Angeles area.

Williams Family are owner-operators of a McDonald's

Patricia’s daughters and McDonald’s owner/operator, Nicole Enearu.
