Lee Terry & A New Sound Tap on Kierra Sheard for Single, “Be Praised”

Lee Terry and A New Sound have teamed up for their collaborative record, “Be Praised” featuring GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award-winning Gospel Artist Kierra Sheard. The highly anticipated single has been released in partnership and distribution with independent record label, DARE Records. “Be Praised” is available on all streaming platforms now!

“Be Praised” is a powerful and melodic song that was written in the writing and recording sessions with A New Sound, a talented music collective lead by producers Marty West and Lee Terry, and including veteran writers and fellow creatives such as Shanika Bereal, Anthony Wilkins, Ronnie Terry, Tiffany Palmer and Kameron Williams. “Be Praised” is the first of many songs the team wrote, and the first to be featured from the album slated to release later this year.

“This song is a reminder that God Deserves All Praises,” says Terry. “My prayer and hope is that everyone who listens to this is reminded that we have a part to play in honoring God with our praise.”

Lee Terry is the president of Black Renaissance Monarchy Productions (BRM Productions) and head of A&R / Head of Music Publishing at BRM Records. BRM has collaborated with industry hit-makers like Kierra Sheard, Chandler Moore, Donnie McClurkin, John P. Kee, A New Sound Music Collective and several other Christian and Gospel Music artists while preparing for the launch and release of the labels new Pop and R&B division. The New York native has been in the music production industry both on the technical and creative side for over 20 years.

He started his career in 2010 working as the media and production director for a mega church in Dallas, Texas. Producing audio recordings and live productions weekly, he worked with musicians such as Tim Bowman Jr., Fred Hammond, and many other artists. With a career spanning more than 30 years, he is one of most accomplished members of the new generation of music executives whose work integrates the creative and business spheres. In addition to his role as a senior label executive and head of A&R of his production company, BRM Productions, his numerous creative credits include executive producer, vocal and music producer, artist, songwriter, video director and editor. Lee’s focus is changing the demographics of what we believe music should be, diversifying the way artists create and promote their bodies of work.
