Each year, Kelvin Chappell rolls out his “Bring Your Own Praise” (BYOP) concert designed to expose local and national talent to the Virginia and North Carolina regions with an evening of songs, music, spoken word and praise dancing. Chappell’s 6th Annual BYOP will be held Saturday, October 8 at Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Danville, VA and boasts an impressive lineup.
Artists and performers will include the much-heralded Lemmie Battles (“You’re Looking At A Miracle”; Chicago Mass Choir – “Thank you, Thank you Jesus,” Mississippi Mass – “Mighty Good God”), the dynamic group Resound, singer and radio show host Jeremy Wilder, Amy Ferrell from Greensboro, NC, praise and worship leader Stephanie Motley and spoken word artist Elder Tarence Walker. Returning to BYOP for the second year is noted singer Kaneisha “NeeCee” Trott and the acappella group The Joybells.The event begins at 6 p.m. at Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 180 Kentuck Rd, Danville, VA 24540 and is to the public. BYOP was created in 2010 by award-winning graphic designer Kelvin Chappell as a platform to provide positive exposure for talent and to inspire unity among believers.The concert began in 2010 and has developed into an engaging community-focused platform that has gained national acclaim as a memorable musical experience for consumers of varying ages and walks of faith.

Kelvin Chappell is CEO of Kelvin Chappell Designs, an award winning independent graphic design company providing creative branding services in print, digital, identity and packaging located in Eden, North Carolina. Kelvin has contributed his innovative graphic design skills to national publications, award winning artists Canton Jones, Monica Lisa Stevenson and Eunice Wright, companies including Central South Distribution , and to Dove and Stellar Award nominated artists Bishop Jerry Maynard and Cathedral of Praise and Earl Bynum and The Mount Unity Choir; and BET’s Sunday Best Finalist Jessica Reedy.
