The song is a tribute to one of the young victims of the Newtown, Conn. tragedy, Ana Grace, who was the daughter of musician Jimmy Greene. Kim Burrell and other gospel artists have lent their talent to the single.
Twenty children and six adults died when a gunman opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton. Ana Grace Marquez-Greene, age 6, was one of the victioms.
“Love Wins” features Kim Burrell, Doobie Powell, Nikki Ross, Jonathan Dubose, Jr., and Jimmy Greene on tenor saxophone. the song will be available for download on itunes on june 11. All of the proceeds will go to a fund that was set up in Ana Grace’s name to help the Greene.

my new cd, ‘every man should know’, comes out june 11 – but something else is being released on that day i that i want you to know about.
jimmy greene, my longtime friend and band member, lost his precious daughter, ana grace, in the newtown shooting. she was six years old. jimmy, his incredible wife, nelba, and beautiful young son, isaiah, are devastated beyond description.
i’ve written a song for ana grace called ‘love wins.’ it’s an all star cast, featuring kim burrell, doobie powell, nikki ross, jonathan dubose, jr., and, of course, jimmy greene on tenor saxophone. the song will be available for download on itunes on june 11. 100% of the proceeds will go to the ana grace fund to help jimmy and his family get through this difficult time. the link to the ana grace fund site is below.
i hope that everyone will be able to download the song… ana grace used to say ‘love wins’ – and you know what? it always does!
thanks everyone. i love you…
