Big news today for the Grammy winning hip-hop artist Lecrae. He  just scored his first deal with a major label. The rapper signed with Columbia Recorsds in a deal that was announced today.

This move should give Lecrae a wider playing word to spread his message through music. He has labeled himself as a Christian who raps and Columbia Records must agree as they have given  him a pivotal platform and support to reach a wide audience.

Lecrae’s 2014 album, Anomaly, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, Rap, Digital, Christian, Gospel, and Independent charts. His seven studio albums and mixtapes have sold more than 1.5 million copies.
