Dr. Charles G. Hayes of Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer in Chicago died yesterday, February 12 at age 76. He was a giant in the world of gospel music.
Dr. Hayes organized the famed The Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer Choir. The choir has recorded more than 30 albums and five single 45’s over the past fifty years. Two of the albums reached Gold status and many hit the #1 spot on the gospel charts.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
