Fervent Records’ soulful vocalist/songwriter Dara Maclean teamed up with International Justice Mission last Tuesday to perform at a rally announcing the resolution to name October 1, 2013, as “International Justice Day” in Nashville, TN.
Maclean is also passionate about raising awareness and bringing an end to human trafficking and is an advocate for the International Justice Mission.
Local students, city council members and fellow advocates joined Maclean and International Justice Mission representatives on the steps of Nashville’s City Hall to show their support for the organization’s fight to bring awareness to and end human trafficking around the world. Maclean performed and dedicated her song, “Set My People Free,” to the cause at hand.
Dara Maclean released her sophomore album, Wanted, on September 24. The collection features “Set My People Free” and her hit song, “Wanted,” which is currently No. 4 at Hot AC.
