CAAPA will host a concert featuring Angela Brown, a trailblazer who is on a mission to bring opera to everyone. Her witty and inspired solo show “Opera… from a Sistah’s Point of View” dispels the common myths of opera from her own sassy perspective. The concert opera also stars Alexandria Crichlow, Christian Simmons, and Dr. Lester Green. It all takes place Saturday, June 25 at 4 pm the Center for the Performing Arts at Prince George’s Community College, Largo, MD. Nolan Williams, Jr. and Tomeka Bumbry will be honored during the event.
Tickets start at $45 and can be purchased online by clicking here. Viewers may also purchase tickets to watch the concert virtually.
Note: Proof of vaccination or a negative test within 48 hours must be presented to gain entrance to the facility. For their safety, children under five years of age will not be admitted to the theaters at this time. For additional information about health and safety policies, visit pgcc.edu/arts.
