Brian Courtney Wilson Signs With Motown Gospel

Stellar Award winner and Dove Award nominee Brian Courtney Wilson recently joined the artist roster at Motown Gospel. No stranger to the music community, Wilson garnered success as a solo artist with the release of his two albums Just Love and So Proud, and most recently as a member of the award winning Fred Hammond group, United Tenors.

The NAACP Image Award Nominee and recipient of the “Rising Artist Award” (Gospel Music Heritage) made a name for himself with hit songs such as “All I Need” and “Already Here” – just to name a few.

Motown Gospel signs Brian Courtney WilsonAfter meeting mega producer and Motown Gospel’s Vice President of A&R, Aaron Lindsey, the two formed an immediate friendship that would eventually lead to Lindsey spearheading Wilson’s signing and producing his upcoming album, which is set to release early 2015.

“When I first received word about the potential signing of Brian, I got very excited,” Lindsey comments, “we have worked together in the past and I have been an admirer of his voice and ministry throughout the years. I look forward to producing his first live recording and working with the range of talent and potential that he brings as an artist.”

Already in the studio, the duo have been busy cultivating Wilson’s signature smooth and melodic sound, all the while creating a freshness that listeners are sure to enjoy. Although still in its developmental stages, it is evident that this fusion is set to be nothing short of brilliant.

“A few years ago, God connected Aaron Lindsey and me,” Wilson recollects, “I am honored that he wanted to bring me into the fold, not only as an artist, but as a friend. I am very thankful to be joining the Motown Gospel family and am looking forward to creating beautiful music with the team. I am excited for what is to come.”

Industry veteran Ken Pennell currently serves as President of the Gospel Music division at Capitol Christian Music Group and is equally excited about the new venture: “We [Motown Gospel] love Brian Courtney Wilson’s music and we love the message and ministry he presents – we’re proud to be in partnership with him.”

Wilson’s album will be a unique blend of studio productions and selections from the live recording. The first single is slated to release this summer.
