An authentically great song withstands the test of time. A great song touches a generation and is rediscovered by the next generation, with an ongoing impact on culture. Ananias “Markey” Montague is a songwriter and musician with a catalog of Gospel songs described as timeless – timeless because of his poignant pen, his inventive creative process and the heavy anointing on him in that he is a man connected to God.
Ananias has composed original songs recorded and performed by Salem Baptist Church, The Gospel Music Workshop of America, and The Walter and Edwin Hawkins Seminar. His musical mastery has been sought after by the most notable David Foster, Richard Smallwood, Andrae’ Crouch, Ricky Dillard, Ted Winn, Lyle Lovett, and The Omaha Symphony.
His collection of work includes REMEMBER ME, SONGS FROM THE CROSS, Vol 1 (2018), and LIVE FROM THE STEELHOUSE OMAHA (2023). But his first album, FLIPPIN THE SCRIPT, was initially released in 2003 in compact disc format only before the surge of digital music platforms. Ananias and his group New Fellowship Ministries toured throughout the United States and extensively abroad throughout Europe, promoting the album.
“FLIPPIN THE SCRIPT was my first full-length album as an artist,” Ananias says. “Unfortunately, the music files were destroyed in a fire. But production engineer Kevin Kelley helped recover and remaster our files so that we could re-release these great church songs for those who never heard it.”
Through the advances in music technology and Kelley’s assistance, Ananias has re-released FLIPPIN THE SCRIPT REWIND, which is now available on all digital music outlets. The album includes thirteen original and timeless songs for choirs, worship teams, and Gospel enthusiasts who appreciate music executed with powerfully refined vocals and musicianship rooted in biblically based and inspiring lyrics.
Ananias and New Fellowship Ministries deliver stand-out tracks “I Made It” and “Changed Me” with spirited authority. FLIPPIN THE SCRIPT REWIND includes “Believe I’ll Testify” by celebrated songwriter Patrick Love.
FLIPPIN THE SCRIPT REWIND is released via Ananias Montague Music & Creative Live Sounds imprint. The album offers a musical flashback while Ananias prepares more great new music for release this year. You can find more and stay in touch with Ananias by visiting Amusac.com
No.1 Billboard charting Gospel artist Anthony Evans, announces the release of his highly anticipated full-length studio album, “REVIVE.” Available today, the 10-track project is a mix of inspiring new original songs and soul-soothing worship songs that are a direct reflection of Evans’ painstaking return to a strong, enduring faith after a long season of personal loss, heartache, and doubt. Listen to “REVIVE” here and watch Evans’ brand-new music video for “Follow.”
“Those painful feelings, sense of despair and questioning, like ‘Where are you God?’ are real, but I have the truth of God’s Word and ultimately chose to believe and continue to move forward,” says Evans. “Healing comes from making the decision to move in the direction of His truth and the faith you choose to have, even if our situation dictates otherwise.”
Adds Evans, “In spite of my feelings at the time, I made a conscious choice to begin taking steps toward my spiritual, mental, and emotional health. When I started to do that, the work I did was magnified by His grace. It’s like what happens when you sing into a microphone. You put forth effort, and it’s amplified. That is what God did when I took time to push past feelings of despair and invest in my faith. He amplified my effort.
Two years in the making, “REVIVE” is co-written with Nick Pothoven and co-produced by Grammy Award-winning Max Stark (Kirk Franklin, Tori Kelly, Marvin Sapp) and Darrel Walls (Travis Greene, PJ Morton). The album follows on the heels of Evans’ 2020 “Altared” – a project that marked his second consecutive #1 on the Billboard Gospel Album chart. While setting his personal music aside for a season to focus on his mental, spiritual, and personal health, Anthony Evans has spent the past couple of years producing vocals along with a number of large tours and live events. Founder of Sherman James Productions, Anthony’s skills have also led him to not only produce his own projects but also work alongside some of music’s most popular icons. Evans latest projects have included, Grammy-winning, multi-platinum artist DJ Khaled– and a long line of legendary figures who have sought out his array of behind-the-scenes talents, including Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, 2 Chainz, Tyler The Creator, Kirk Franklin, and Tori Kelly.
This year, hosted in multiple cities, Evans will be promoting “REVIVE” in part on the 2024 version of “Fervent,” the touring event that he produces along with his sister, NY Times bestselling author and actress Priscilla Shirer. “Fervent” has produced over 40 sold-out events over the past few years. Evans will also be bringing back “Kingdom Legacy Live,” an event inspired by the words of his mother, “All of you…together,” which features his father, Dr. Tony Evans, and siblings, Chrystal Evans Hurst, Priscilla Evans, and Jonathan Evans. The first “Kingdom Legacy Live” program in 2023 had over 6,000 attendees.
“I’m looking forward to performing the songs on ‘REVIVE’ in a live setting, with a different level of inspiration, taking them from the great sessions we had in the studio to connecting with live audiences,” says Evans. “With this album, I love that we didn’t have to cut any corners, and with so many great friends, could create tracks at a sonic level on par with any contemporary album in any genre.”

The worship ballad features the dynamic GRAMMY® Award-nominated vocalist Melvin Crispell III and has garnered over 123,000 first-week digital streams. By contrast, Nelson’s 2021smash, “Residue,” earned 61,000 first-week streams. “Yahweh is a song that speaks to how God created humanity and, as a result, breathed life into us,” Nelson says. “it speaks to the core theme of the entire album, which is revival and life with God. Once everyone is able to hear the full project, they’ll understand why Yahweh is a great introduction.”
“Yahweh” is the first radio single from Nelson’s forthcoming album, You Belong (Jaelyn Song Music / Tyscot/ Fair Trade). The You Belong project was recorded live at World Overcomers Christian Church in Durham, NC, last August. The project is his first live recording in six years. Composer and international artist Calvin Bridges is one of Gospel music’s living legends. He is a Stellar Award-winning, and Grammy® nominated artist who has penned numerous hit songs and has traveled the globe, presenting his dynamic music ministry and teaching classic and iconic sacred songs.
Once again, Calvin has gathered the children to sing the Gospel Glory, proclaiming the Good News about Jesus with the profound message and new single “No Weapon.”
“No Weapon” is a celebration of hope and joy, permeating indisputable decrees and powerful images of deliverance and victory! The single proclaims, “No weapon formed against us shall prosper. Every tongue that rises against us in judgment shall be condemned.” (Isaiah 54:17)
Calvin recorded the single live in Chicago at the historic Malcolm X College Auditorium with an aggregation of USA and European singers who joined to form the International Gospel Music Conference Mass Choir with special guests from Stockholm, Sweden. The recording captured the atmosphere of elation and the skillful artistry of the participating gifted musicians and singers, all crafted, written, and produced by Calvin Bridges.
“No Weapon” is swingin’ with contemporary jazz nuances and pumping with old-school power and swag while riding on a funky music track. With a masterful lead and soulful choir vocals, the song becomes a praise party.
Bridges says, “In a day where automatic assault weapons are used to kill and destroy in record numbers, taking way too many innocent lives, violent crime is rampant in our cities, government, boardrooms, schools, and houses of worship. Words are also weaponized to shame, degrade, and assassinate the moral character and dreams of generations past, present, and future. No weapon can prosper is a Kingdom statement and battle cry that is especially needed now.”
“No Weapon” is available on all digital music and streaming platforms with spots on Apple Music Sunday Soul Slider Playlist, Pandora’s New Gospel Now #7 Playlist, and Tidal’s Premier Gospel and Spread The Gospel Playlists. You can watch and share the marvelously innovative official lyric video on Calvin’s YouTube channel.
Calvin is a 2023 Prayze Factor Award winner who, additionally, is nominated for six 2024 Rhythm of Gospel Awards this year. Calvin continues to travel the globe with upcoming 2024 appearances in Nairobi, Kenya, at the Mziki Gospel Music Festival in July, Stockholm, Sweden, and Kehl, Germany, in the fall.
