Believe Radio Innovation Awards Honor Aaron Lindsey and Aundrae Russell

Believe Radio celebrated the unsung heroes of the Gospel music industry with its first annual Innovator Awards, held earlier in the month of February. The award recipients for this year are legends in their own right, namely Aaron Lindsey and Aundrae Russell.

GRAMMY, Dove and Stellar Award-winning artist, producer, composer, arranger and musician Aaron Lindsey has a career that spans well over 2 decades and has worked with Gospel music trendsetters and icons including, William McDowell, Israel and New Breed, Marvin Sapp, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Kenny Lattimore, David & Nicole Binion, India.Arie, Thalles Roberto, Darlene Zschech and Karen Clark Sheard. He recently announced the start of his own label, MultiEthnic Records.

Aundrae Russell, the Stellar Award-winning radio host has several years of media under his belt, both in front of the camera and behind the mic. He has worked as a Television Sportscaster and News Anchor, Radio Programmer, and D.J. He has been selected as Radio Program Director of the Year, Gospel DJ of the Year, Radio Executive of the Year, and most recently, one of the 100 Most Influential African Americans. He served as the halftime voice and Music Coordinator for the Los Angeles Lakers for nine years, winning three NBA Championship rings. Also an accomplished writer, he has written for various magazines and newspapers across the country. During his career, Aundrae has interviewed renowned celebrities such as Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Tyler Perry and NBA legends Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant to name a few.

The Believe Radio Innovation Awards are the brainchild of Adam Rogers, who conceived the idea to celebrate the success of the people behind the scenes that help to make Gospel music great. Plans are already underway for next year’s event.
