Yes Lord Radio hosts another spectacular “Meat” and Greet

The room was filled with independent artists, radio and media personalities and other industry professionals. They were all there for the Yes Lord Radio “Meat” and Greet that took place Monday, October 16 at the Kingdom Cafe in Nashville.

The mid-day soiree was a precursor to the GMA Dove Awards held the following day. It was an opportunity for established and budding artist to share their music and interview with the many media who set up shop in the media room. Deon Robertson, Young Saint, T-Ran made their rounds. New artist Martrell made an impression on many in the media room during his interviews as he shared about his debut single, “I’ll Go.”  Everett Drake also dropped in for a while.

One of the unexpected treats was the presence of three-time Dove Award winners Angelo & Veronica.  After the couple started a church and Veronica launched her solo career, the duo is recording music together again, starting with their lead single, “Higher Place.”

As the event drew to a close, those who lingered behind were treated to an impromptu acapella performance by the three Davis singers known as Da’Vizion. These ladies may just be ones to watch.

Comedian Bone Hampton provided the laughs and Mike E served as spin doctor throughout the day as songs from each artist in attendance wafted through the room. There was lost of mixing and mingling as radio, media and industry enjoyed each others presence. Those in attendance included Benita Bellamy, Mike Chandler, April Chandler, Eboni Funderburk, Lady T’Mil, Roderick Jemison,  Carmina Barnett, Cheryl Bogg,  Jeff Robinson, Teresa Jordan,  Precious Thornton, Gerard Bonner, Lady Shaunte’ Garrett, Fred Willis and many others!

The event has grown exponentially from last year’s “Meat” and Greet.  It appears that word of mouth about last year’s successful event has catapulted Yes Lord Radio to the forefront of must-attend pre-Dove Awards events!
