Y'Anna Crawley One Woman Play: 'My REEL-ality, My Destiny'

Check out this clip of  the one woman stage play by Y’Anna Crawley, “My REEL-ality, My Destiny.” In the play Y’Anna speaks and sings about her past struggles with low self-esteem, depression and more.

The play was created in  partnership with Joshua Jenkins and The Press Play Company. Y’Anna exposes her bouts with low self-esteem, as a result of her displacement from her biological father when she was just 3 months old. This caused her to have a negative self image as she battled confidence issues as a full figured preteen.

The singer later became a teenage mom, experienced emotionally abusive relationships and even sacrificed her musical aspirations and dreams because of the struggles she experienced with her identity for years.

Y’Anna debuted the play in its entirety before 2700 women this past weekend at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden during their women’s conference.

Due to its success Y’Anna has been invited to present another performance during the Sunday Brunch series at the historic Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C. on Sunday October 20.
