Vernon Hill's 'Great Joy Live' ushers in season with uplifting concert

For the past few weeks, Vernon Hill has been on a mission. The producer and songwriter took great lengths to get the word out about “Great Joy Live.” Those who attended were definitely enthralled with the great night of song. “Great Joy Live” was an inspiring, uplifting Christmas concert that featured music from the well-received Christmas album, Great Joy. 

Vernon Hill and featured artists, singer/songwriter LaVarn Gordon, saxophonist Tim Andrulonis, and vocalist Taylor Simone-Butts took to the stage at The Slayton House Theater in Columbia, MD. The event also sponsored a toy drive for Toys for Tots.

Gordon and Simone-Butts filled the night with powerful performances with Hill on piano and Andrulonis on sax. The audience experienced  new arrangements of favorite traditional Christmas songs and new original songs, “Great Joy,” “Emmanuel,” and “Glory To God.”

Great Joy is a festive and smooth blend of original arrangements of your favorite traditional Christmas songs, as well as new original Christmas music written by Hill and Gordon. The Christmas album echoes the message found in Luke 2:10-11 “Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (KJV)

Great Joy is an inspiring Christmas album that encourages listeners to experience the true joy of this Holiday season with the great news of the Gospel that Christ the Savior is born. Great Joy is available on all digital music stores and physical copies available through Great Joy is currently in the Top 200 iTunes charts for Christian & Gospel.
