The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir: ‘Love Lead the Way’

Love Lead the Way The Brooklyn Tabernacle ChoirThis 300-voice, multi-ethnic choir has been stirring the hearts of listeners for more than 40 years. The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir enters the musical scene this year with their first non-seasonal album in 6 years.

No wonder for its debut, Love Lead the Way hit #1 on the iTunes chart and made it into the Top 15 on Billboard. Choir founder Carol Cymbala and music director Jason Michael Webb has assembled a stellar collection of songs.

“Breathe,” will certainly linger on the listeners mind as the ballad tugs at the heart. The title cut is a memorable, up-tempo song. “Let Your Kingdom Come.” Shows the choir’s versality with its edgy style showing that choir can be both relevant and reverent. Long-time fans of The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir are not forgotten as “The Man” and “Working It Out” is perfect shouting music. Don’t worry, “The Battle Hymn of The Republic” sing by the choir during President Obama’s inauguration this January is on the album.

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir’s, Love Lead the Way  is choir music at its best. The mere fact that 300 voices can come together to deliver such beautiful sounds serves as testament to how music excellence is a gift worthy of praise.
