Strategic Music Partnerships, launches Maryland’s first official Music Summit

Summit seeks to improve the equity of music artists in Maryland

Maryland Music Summit

Update: This event has been postponed

Strategic Music Partnerships, Inc., a Maryland-based nonprofit dedicated to music education, announces the first Official Maryland Music Summit. This special 1-day Music Summit takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2020 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Harborside Hotel, 6400 Oxon Hill Rd, Oxon Hill, MD 20745.

Maryland’s music scene is dynamic though its music artist community is suffering from lack of music business knowledge. Artists train musically, but they lack the skills to navigate the tough music business for success. This conference, Maryland’s first Music Summit, fills that void.

The Maryland Music Summit is designed to empower Maryland Local Artists and help them build successful artist careers in their home state and across the globe. It exists to find and present resources that create opportunities for Maryland Music Artists, and to increase networking between artists, performance venues, promoters, television, radio and social media service providers. The Music Summit will include live performances, food, giveaways and feature Music Business Educators and Facilitators conducting workshops, and artist development classes. Attendees will also learn of Maryland State grant information.
