RTMG President Romel Murphy to Appear on SWV Reunited February 20

Real Talent Media Group President Romel Murphy will appear on We TV’s S”WV Reunited” Thursday, February 20, 2014, it was announced today, February 18.

Negotiating partnerships as well as companies with budgets in excess of $500K, and with over ten (10) years of experience in the entertainment industry, Murphy has had a wide variety of business experiences catapulting the careers of many.

On Thursday, February 20th the sixth episode of WE tv’s reality show SWV Reunited will illustrate Murphy’s confidence and knack for business while discussing Coko’s upcoming project and the release of her new single “At Your Feet” on Glory 2 Glory Records.

“It is a blessing to bring the voice of Coko back to gospel music listeners,” exclaims Murphy. “Her voice and sincere love for the Lord is showcased in her upcoming project.”

As marketing consultant for numerous companies including MBK Entertainment, an entrepreneur, entertainment executive, marketing and management guru, and philanthropist he has experience managing many entertainment properties in the secular and gospel music arenas.

In the gospel music arena Murphy is known for developing newcomer Gospel recording artist Cheneta Jones by securing distribution for her debut album Transformed, implementing radio promotions resulting in three songs from the album charting on Billboard’s top 30, and debuting the album to #13 on the Billboard Charts. He was also responsible for the breakout group Livre‘s debut single landing at #11on BDS and Mediabase.

On the secular side Murphy was involved in tour marketing and development on the highly successful Rebellious Soul/Music Matters Tour featuring K. Michelle, 7even Streeter and Tiara Thomas.

As a philanthropist Murphy launched “Saving Our Youth Celebrity Basketball Game,” an annual event where a portion of proceeds are donated to the Nashville, TN based organization KidPOWER-an after-school tutoring and mentoring program for the students of Napier Enhanced Option School.

An alumnus of Tennessee State University and Loyola University Chicago, Romel Murphy is based in Chicago, Illinois.
