President Barack Obama highlights women during speech at Phoenix Awards Dinner

PositivelyGospel.com was on the scene when President Barack Obama spoke at the 45th Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) Phoenix Awards Dinner held by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) in Washington, DC. Nia Long and Larenz Tate were the dinner hosts for the black-tie affair.

Honored for thier accomplishments in the African American community were president of the NAACP, NC Chapter, Rev. Dr. William Barber, II; Civil Rights Attorney, Fred Gray; Civil Rights Activist, Dr. Amelia Boynton Robinson and Juanita Abernathy; and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. PositivelyGospel.com was credentialed as part of the White Housr Press Pool and here are a few pics from the pool.

President Obama focued on women in his speech and their accomplishments as well as disparities they encounter.
