Paul Porter Signs With Motown Gospel; Album Coming In Fall

Paul PorterMotown Gospel continues to add to its roster. The label joined  with TreMyles Music and Mars On Sunday to sign Gospel Hall of Fame member Paul Porter. The announcement was made today, May 7.

Porter is a founder and former lead singer of the  The Christianaires and a multi-award-winning vocalist and songwriter.  Porter is scheduled to release a new studio album this fall.  The first single “F.R.E.E,” featuring GRAMMY winner Smokie Norful, will debut in June. ” F.R.E.E.” is also the album title.

Smokie Norful, who owns TreMyles Music, a joint venture with Motown Gospel “I’m very excited to play a part in continuing the Paul Porter legacy,” he said in a statement. “Paul has been an incredible source of great music and has a powerful voice. His story of endurance and perseverance coupled with the new music is going to make this a great partnership.”

It looks like Motown Gospel is well on its way to building a formidable brand. It will be interesting to see who is next to join the label.
