Pianist and songwriter Kenneth Crouch is set to release a Limited Edition Solo Piano Christmas Project for the first time. Friends and fans alike have been in great anticipation of his next project and it is finally here.
“I’m doing this project to say thank you to all of my fans and family members that have been so supportive over the years.” said Kenneth Crouch when asked why now, when his last project, Childhood was released 5 years ago.
My Christmas Songbook Vol 1 will be available for digital download Wednesday December 18. Only 100 physical copies will be printed and signed by Kenneth Crouch with original cover art by his daughter, Sophia.
The physical CD’s will have bonus tracks that will not be available online. CD #1 will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and a portion of the proceeds will go to The Art Branch, a non-profit organization that provides learning centers and educational curriculum that support integrity and life-enhancing principles through the arts.
On Sunday December 15, 2013 Kenneth Crouch previewed some of the music from My Christmas Songbook vol 1 at Quincy Jones‘ Christmas event in Hollywood. Physical copy of the Limited Edition Christmas CD can be ordered now.
Kenneth Crouch is a classically trained Los Angeles native broadened his musical exposure under the leadership of his grandfather, Bishop B.J. Crouch, where he embraced both gospel and jazz influences. In junior high Kenneth’s love for jazz was instantly ignited. Kenneth’s professional career began as a musician when he recorded with Tony Haynes at famed percussionist Munyungo Jackson’s recording studio in Los Angeles. From that point, he has continued to carry the baton passed from his uncle, Gospel legend, Andrae Crouch.
