Gospel/Christian Music News Roundup: Week ending 3 February

Tyscot Records, the oldest operating African-American gospel music recording label in the world, and LuDawn Music, a production house formed by Billboard magazine No. 1 songwriters Cheryl Fortune and Lucius B. Hoskins, have announced a business partnership. The first project under the new agreement is the debut album by Cheryl Fortune, tentatively set for a June 30, 2017 release.

Essential Worship’s Vertical Church Band and Premier Productions have partnered and announced upcoming dates for their Vertical Nights Tour. Kicking off March 8 in South Bend, Indiana, the tour is scheduled to hit 14 markets across the U.S. Tickets are on sale now by visiting here.  Concertgoers will get to enjoy a message from Pastor James MacDonald of Harvest Bible Chapel, music from Vertical Church Band and special guest and worship artist/songwriter Paul Baloche. Other special guests scheduled to appear on various dates throughout the tour are Meredith Andrews, Jason Ingram of one sonic society, and more.

The Institute for Ministry, Arts & Cultivation Conference (I.M.A.C.) will host two days of events in Las Vegas, NV during the 32nd Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards week.  I.M.A.C. Conferences will present a “Lunch and Learn” session on Thursday, March 23 and The I.M.A.C. “After The Show” Concert onSaturday, March 25.

Renowned worship leader, author and pastor Darlene Zschech releases the Here I Am Send Me(Hineni) CD/DVD globally on March 3 from Integrity Music. Recorded live with her team at Hope Unlimited Church on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia, the album is Zschech’s first project following a life changing cancer diagnosis in 2014 and features 11 new songs penned by her along with guest writers like Martin Smith, Paul Baloche, Jenn Johnson and Leeland Mooring.

Chicago icon Reverend Clay Evans will receive the Ambassador Bobby Jones Legends Award for his many outstanding contributions during his 6 decades of service as a preacher, pastor, award winning Gospel Music recording artist, civil rights leader and humanitarian during the 32nd Annual Stellar Awards held on March 25th at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
