Billboard Gospel Albums: Jermaine Dolly tops chart with album debut

Rising star Jermaine Dolly grabs the top spot on this week’s Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart with his debut album, The Dolly Express. His  second single, “Come and Knock On Our Door,”  is climbing the Hot Gospel Songs Chart at #13. Although this is his album debut, the Philadelphia native is no stranger to the music industry. Dolly toured with Grammy Award Winner Tye Tribbett for six years.

Tamela Mann takes the No. 2 spot with One Way, followed by WOW Gospel 2017 at No.3, CeCe Winans, Let Them Fall in Love  at No.4 and Travis Hill takes the No. 5 spot with the Hill, which has been on the charts for 82 weeks.

Writer and composer Brenda Jefferson cracks the Top 10 with her sophomore album, Invocation. Jefferson collaborates with a vast array of notable artists for soul-stirring collaborations, including Dream (featuring Myron Butler), My Heart Is Fixed (featuring Gospel legend Dorinda Clark-Cole) and One Touch (featuring Stellar Award-winning artist, Isaac Carree).
