‘A Smart City of Excellence’: 88th Annual Seat Pleasant Day takes place this saturday

On May 4, 2019, the City will host its annual Seat Pleasant Community Day parade and festival. The parade, will be from 11 am to 12 pm. Spectators can view the parade from the 5900 to 6000 block of Addison Road and/or 5900 to 7000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway. The parade includes car clubs, character mascots, area High School marching bands that include Fairmont Heights, Charles Herbert Flowers and, elected officials, dance groups and more.

Seat Pleasant Community Day The festival will commence after the parade, from 12 PM-6 PM, 6 hours of nonstop entertainment, hosted by radio personality, Tony Redz with music from two Dj’s, Dj Supa Dan and Dj Remii. This year’s community event will feature, but not limited to, carnival games, a rock-climbing wall, a mechanical bull, moon bounces, a petting zoo, exhibitors, food and sales vendors and a Flea Market

The festival will also feature live entertainment from two concert stages with known musical acts such as New Impressionz, Team Familiar, Mental Attraction 2.0, Top 5 and more electrifying performances.

Seat Pleasant’s 88th annual celebration is gearing up to be one of the City’s most fun-filled and family-oriented community events. “We are delighted to celebrate 88 years of municipal service and governance with our community.” -Mayor Eugene W. Grant
