4P Social Event Recap: Advancing Positive Projects, One Event at a Time!

4 P Social brought together up and coming entrpreneurs

Love Life Media hosted its highly anticipated event – 4P Social – on Saturday, February 22, 2014. A mixer that benefits the advancement of young entrepreneurs and positive media, 4P Social was developed in an effort to provide a platform for emerging industry leaders and positive projects to discuss and collaborate over the next phase of global business. This event took place in a private room at Eggspectation located in Silver Spring, Maryland.

4P Social speakers included some of today’s rising leaders such as Catherine Trotter, Creator and Founder of the “Speak Life Tour” and 501(C)3 New Beginnings; Wayne Bertram, Jr., CEO of R3bel Films, Reality TV Director and Celebrity Photographer and Videographer; and Dominique Wilkins, Mobile Application Developer of My Study Rewards, Multi-Business Owner and Philanthropist. Each speaker described their experience as a millennial entrepreneur, discussed the direction of their companies today and offered attendees advice on best practices to living out your dreams.

The evening’s event began with a warm introduction from Love Life Media founder and 4P Social Creator, Timea Gaines. The program included opportunities for guest to network, practice their best elevator pitch and win amazing business development prizes.

4 P Social was a great success for entrpreneursGuests participated in a speed networking session, where they were encouraged to gain valuable information from one another in a short amount of time. One of the highlights of evening was the elevator pitch competition. During the competition three attendees were given a minute or less to sell their companies to the audience. The winner of the competition was awarded a 1-hour branding session with Love Life Media!

The featured guest speaker for 4P Social was Sean Chrysostom, of Capital One Bank. Chrysostom provided attendees with valuable financial tips and advice on the role banks play in launching a new business. A key take-away from his speech included a little untold “fact”- most banks prefer that companies are in business for at least two years before applying for a small business loan. He also shared with the audience that if your company has no credit history, then the owners credit history is examined – which can cause a hurdle.

In closing, Chrysostom encouraged the young entrepreneurs to think creatively and outside of the box. Many entrepreneurs approach banks for money, not realizing that there are other ways to partner and for organizations to help with your mission.
